Leadership Update from Mr Fordham
BackDear families,
I am writing to let you know that Pete Seadon, who has been the Vice Principal at Thetford Academy since 2019, will be leaving us at Christmas to take up a new role as the Principal of East Point Academy in Lowestoft.
Many of you will have come to know Mr Seadon over the last few years through his tireless work with your children. So many of the improvements to our school are a consequence of his ideas and efforts, and he is going to be missed by students and staff alike.
But our education sector needs great headteachers, and Mr Seadon is going to be a remarkable head at his new school. We wish him all the very best as he takes up this new challenge. East Point Academy is also part of the Inspiration Trust family of schools, and so I am sure we will see Mr Seadon from time to time at Thetford so he can see how everyone is getting on.
The school will begin a recruitment process now to find a new Vice Principal and, once that process is complete, I will update you on the outcome. I will ensure there are plenty of opportunities for parents to meet our new Vice Principal once an appointment has been made.
Yours faithfully,
Michael Fordham
