Careers Programme

Our careers programme includes careers education sessions for years 7 – 13 as part of the tutor programme and assemblies. These sessions include career guidance activities, information and research activities. This also enables students to develop their own career planning.

Other sessions include making life choices, learning interview techniques and writing a CV. Other focused events include the Careers Fair and University / Higher Education and alternative Post-16 /18 educational visits. In addition to these programmed events, Yr 11 students receive a 1:1 careers interview and Yr12 also have access to 1:1 careers guidance and participate in work experience. We also have a dedicated Yr10 Career Guest Speaker Programme, which is supported by a range of providers in various employment sectors and education.

The Careers Curriculum is also supported by our partnership with UEA (University of East Anglia); HAS (Higher Aspirations Scheme) and the New Anglia Careers Hub. This work is delivered according to each year group and where applicable is subject specific to include trips, visits, guest speakers and specialist workshops.

An overview of the Careers Programme can be found below. This is our core offer and is subject to change throughout the year in response to opportunities provided by our outreach partnerships and external agencies. Subject level provision is not included in this programme, however it is recorded through our monitoring platform, Unifrog.
