Josie Bailey is Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning and staff development at Thetford Academy where she is responsible for the quality of learning for pupils and teaching excellence. 

Josie completed her honors degree in History at Laurentian University in Canada where she subsequently trained as a teacher in the field of history education. She started her career in the UK teaching History in 2009 starting in inner-city London schools and eventually in Hertfordshire. Since then, she has gained experience as Curriculum leader of History for 8 years and has held a senior leadership position for the last 4 years with responsibilities for Teaching and Learning, CPD and Middle Leadership development.
